Breakin’ News: Favreau Joins Downey For ‘Cowboys & Aliens’

The Hollywood Reporter is, well, reporting that Jon Favreau will direct the graphic novel adaptation of “Cowboys & Aliens” and Robert Downey Jr. will star, re-teaming the duo that has made Iron Man one of the hottest film properties around.

The story is an alternate history tale that begins in the 1880’s in America, where a conflict between cowboys and Native Americans is raging when suddenly a UFO appears. Now the previously warring groups join forces to extinguish the aliens, who out match them in weaponry. Sounds fun.
