Interestin’ News: Christopher Nolan Says “Inception” His Largest Scale Film Yet

Christopher Nolan opened up to Hero Complex about his mysterious new film, “Inception,” yesterday and he had some interesting things to say.

“This is the biggest challenge I’ve taken on to this point.  We’re trying to tell a story on a massive scale, a true blockbuster scale—the biggest I’ve ever been involved with. We tried to make a very large-scale film with ‘The Dark Knight’ and with this one we wanted to push that even further.”

For thoughts, full cast, and release date, hit the jump.

Personally, this was already my most highly anticipated film of 2010, beyond “Kick-Ass” and “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.” Insane? Maybe. I have already read both of the graphic novel series that inspired those films, and yet know very little about Nolan’s film at this point. Regardless, I adored “The Prestige,” enjoyed “Memento,” and like everyone on the planet fell in love with “The Dark Knight.”

Throw that with a cast to die for, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, and Ken Watanabe—well, I’m pumped.

Look for “Inception” to blow your mind on July 16, 2010.
